Best Outdoor Concerts In LA This Summer

One of the best parts of living in Southern California is the almost yearround outdoor concerts that we get to attend just for living here. Couple that with the fact that we live in one, if not the most, music-centric cities in the world, and you've got the perfect recipe for a great outdoor concert summer lineup. We rounded up the best of the best for 2015's summer. Here goes!

When legendary singer/songwriter Bonnie Raitt performs, you certainly do not want to miss out on it. Following the releases of her twentieth album (yes, 20th!), Raitt is returning to the iconic Greek along with her longtime touring band. The album, which features James "Hutch" Hutchinson (bass), Ricky Fataar (drums), and George Marinelli (guitar), along with Mike Finnigan (keyboards), is sure to play some of her biggest hits, as well as hits from her newest album.

Remember these guys? Along with special guests Collective Soul and Tribe Society, The Goo Goo Dolls will be making a special appearance live and in concert at The Greek Theatre. With hits like 'Iris,' 'Slide,' and 'Name', it'll bring fans back in time. But, the show will also be all about their newest album, "Boxes," which features hits like "Souls In The Machine" and "Over and Over."

While The Beatles are long gone, fans can get a piece of their sound by going to see Ringo Starr live and in concert. Along with his band, Ringo Starr will be touring the country and making a stop at the infamous Greek Theatre for a one night engagement. As the last stop on his month-long tour, it's sure to be a night to remember, too. Starr will be joined by Todd Rundgren, Gregg Rolie, Steve Lukather and Richard Page during his concert tour.

CHVRCHES has had quite a year. Aside from playing the huge Coachella festival, CHVRCHES has been on a roll since they released their first full-length album in 2013. Since then, they have ballooned into the type of act that can command stage presence. The band, led by the lead vocalist Lauren Mayberry, are sure to offer their brand of British synthpop that has delighted fans for the past few years. Given the setting, and the band, this is one show you will not want to miss.

Arguably one of the hottest and multi-generational bands of our time, Coldplay is a phenomenon. In mid-August, Coldplay will be hitting the stage for a 2 night engagement with 2 incredible opening acts. To warm up the audience for their 2+ hour concert, one of the biggest artists right now, Bishop Briggs will be warming the crowd up along with Alessia Cara. Expect to hear hits not only from the up and coming opening acts, but by Coldplay themselves, including songs from their most recent album "Adventure of A Lifetime".
