Best Alternatives To Trick-Or-Treating In Los Angeles

Now is the time to join the festivities and make this Halloween amazingly fun for the children. If you prefer your children to be in a more structured atmosphere than trick-or-treating door to door but still want them to enjoy themselves, then try these tremendously fun events. The ones listed are inexpensive, have snacks available, are well organized, and were created for a night of Halloween celebration the whole family is sure to love.

Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch has to be one of the coolest places to be this Halloween. Offering tons of fun activities for children, kids may decorate pumpkins, play with animals in the petting zoo, bounce in a Jumpin' Pumpkin, get their faces painted, race down Mr. Bones Super Slide, walk through the Straw Maze and sway back and forth on huge Giant Rockin' Horses and do more at this great pumpkin patch. To top it off, Bones sells all kinds of goodies to snack on, including vegetarian hot dogs and other treats including chips, muffins and popsicles as well as apple juice and soda. With puppet shows, bouncy hoses, arts and crafts, face painting and more, it's a place children and adults can come to enjoy without having to go out trick or treating and still take part in Halloween activities. Advance tickets are recommended as the event does sell out, and costumes are required for children, but are optional for adults. Remember to bring a bucket or a bag to get candy also!

Universal Studios' amped annual Halloween event, Halloween Horror Nights, is scarier than ever this year! The L.A. Zoo's annual event will be returning again this year throughout the month of October. Visitors are invited to don their best costumes and take part in activities including pumpkin carving demonstrations, arts and crafts, the Creepy Creature Encounter, Chomp n' Stomp animal feedings, performances, crafts for kids and more. Guests can also choose to trick-or-treat throughout the Zoo as well. The Zoo will feature Halloween decorations, exhibits and demonstrations during the entire month of October.
