Kick dinner and a movie up a notch tonight with a private screening of the new film "LA LA LAND." Set in modern-day Los Angeles, and starring Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone, the film is an original musical that explores the joy and pain of pursuing one's dreams in the City of Angels. It will be screened in the property's private Screening Room, and will be accompanied by a prix-fixe menu from Culina. Two seatings are available in the 30 seat theater, and seats are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.

If you're one of the lucky people to have the week off, spend your Hump Day at The El Capitan Theatre seeing the new and hotly anticipated Star Wars movie. Exclusive to the theater, there will be a Stormtrooper meet & greet before each screening, and a collection of hero costumes and vehicle models used during production. The first of the Star Wars standalone films, "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" reveals a key event in the Star Wars timeline when ordinary people banded together to steal the plans to the Empire's ultimate weapon of destruction, the Death Star.

The Pasadena Playhouse is hosting a show the whole family will love. Performed as a Panto, "A Cinderella Christmas" is an interactive holiday show with comedy, magic, dancers, and audience participation. The classic fairytale show stars Morgan Fairchild, Lauren Taylor, and more, and will feature dancers from "So You Think You Can Dance," moving to a contemporary soundtrack from artists like Kelly Clarkson, Michael Buble, and Jennifer Lopez. The show runs through January 8.

Union Station's South Patio has transformed into a hub of holiday entertainment this season, presenting shows from L.A. performers beneath the towering Christmas tree and the iconic clock tower. Tonight's "Cocoa Concert" features A Very Salsa Christmas with the group Picante. The group will heat up the night with a performance followed by salsa lessons and party. The festive and family-friendly event runs from 6pm - 8pm, and includes a cocoa bar, holiday crafts and cookie decorating, and Santa selfies.
