Suspect In Custody After Report Of Shots Fired On 60 Freeway
BELLFLOWER (CBSLA.com) — A suspect was in custody and freeway traffic was disrupted Wednesday night after officers responded to a call of shots being fired on the westbound 60 Freeway at Azusa Avenue.
Sky2's Gil Leyvas said a pickup truck believed to be connected to the incident fled but later was seen going southbound on the 605 Freeway. Officers then stopped the vehicle north of the 91 Freeway and took a suspect into custody.
It was unknown if anyone was injured in the incident.
California Highway Patrol Officer A. Rubio told City News Service all lanes of the westbound 60 Freeway are shut down between Fullerton Road and Azusa Avenue in Industry due to the ongoing investigation.
