Bellflower Liquor Store Clerk Wounded During Attempted Robbery
BELLFLOWER (CBSLA.com) — Authorities Wednesday were investigating the shooting of a liquor store clerk who was wounded during an attempted robbery.
The shooting happened around 9:15 p.m. in the 14300 block of Bellflower Boulevard, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said.
Officials said two armed men wearing face masks walked into Cheap Corner Liquor, shot the clerk several times below the waist and fled.
There was no evidence that either suspect took anything, detectives said.
The clerk was transported to a local hospital in critical condition. He was expected to fully recover.
No suspect description was released.
