Behind The Scenes Of 'Death & Victory In Paris' With Nevin James
STUDIO CITY (CBS) — Nevin James, a former contestant on Bravo's songwriting contest "Platinum Hit," is bringing his rock opera to Pepperdine University. He stopped by KCAL9 Wednesday to spill secrets about the show.
"Death & Victory in Paris" is the story of a young woman who is sold into the sex trade and a young man who attempts to rescue her from her captors. Through the powerful 90-minute show, Nevin James and his cast shine a light on human trafficking.
The cast and crew recently finished a self-funded, nine-city, tour of the East Coast and are returning to Nevin's school, Pepperdine University, for a special two night run of the show.
This limited run of "Death & Victory in Paris" will take place on Friday October 7th and Saturday October 8th at 8 p.m. on the campus of Pepperdine University in Malibu.
Tickets start at $10 for university students and $20 for the general public. Also available for $50 are VIP tickets for either night's show, which include a signed poster, a gift bag, meet-and-greet with the cast, and an invitation to the red carpet after party in Malibu on Saturday night. Proceeds from both shows will be going towards human rights charities.
