Man Shot To Death Outside San Gabriel Valley Strip Club
BASSETT (CBSLA) — A man was shot to death outside a San Gabriel Valley strip club early Thursday morning.
Los Angeles County sheriff's homicide detectives were sent out to the scene of the shooting, which happened at about 2:22 a.m. in the 13200 block of Valley Boulevard in the unincorporated community of Bassett, outside a strip club called Bliss Showgirls.
The man was found outside the club, unresponsive and suffering from a gunshot wound, according to Los Angeles County sheriff's officials.
The initial investigation determined that the gunman drove up alongside the two victims, got out of the vehicle and fired several times at them. One of the men was hit and was pronounced dead at the scene. The second man was able to run away and was not hit by gunfire.
Authorities say there is no suspect description or motive for the shooting at the time. It's not clear if the two men had just visited the strip club, or were walking by.
Detectives are looking for security video in the area that may have captured the shooting.
Valley Boulevard just east of the 605 Freeway was shut down for the investigation.
