Baseball Coach At Santa Monica High Contracts Measles

SANTA MONICA (CBSLA.com)  —  A baseball coach at Santa Monica High School has reportedly contracted measles.

It's the 78th reported case reported nationwide with almost 90 percent of all cases in California.

This case comes on the heels of the report of a student at Cal State Channel Islands.

Officials said someone who was infected with the disease may have also exposed people when they visited Montclair Plaza and a movie theater in Chino Hills in the Inland Empire.

Authorities said the measles outbreak began in December at Disneyland and California Adventure.

People who believe they may have been exposed to the disease are asked to see a health care provider but not before warning them of possible exposure.
