Metallic Balloons Cause Power Outage In South LA
SOUTH LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Power was restored Tuesday after several metallic balloons left thousands of South Los Angeles customers in the dark.
The balloons became tangled in power lines around 4:30 p.m. Monday, subsequently causing the outage to occur.
Just before 5 a.m. this morning, power was completely restored in the area, according to Southern California Edison.
More than 5,000 customers were affected.
