Bales Of Marijuana Worth Around $500K Found Off Marina Del Rey Harbor
MARINA DEL REY (CBS) — Thirty-five bales of marijuana worth an estimated $500,000 were recovered in the ocean about six nautical miles northwest of the Marina del Rey harbor.
The bales were found floating in the water by members of the Los Angeles County sheriff's marine operations shortly after noon Wednesday.
Deputy B. White of the station's Marine Operations said the marijuana was turned over to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
