Bakersfield Drops Fullerton In College Hoops

FULLERTON (AP) — Andre Jackson scored 15 points and Issiah Grayson 12 as Cal State Bakersfield defeated Cal State Fullerton 73-66 on Saturday night.

Stephon Carter and Mo Hughley added 10 points each for the Roadrunners (3-1). Carter had nine rebounds.

Omondi Amoke had 20 points and 10 rebounds, Isiah Umipig 19 points and Kwame Vaughn 17 points for the Titans (3-2).

Hughley's layup put Bakersfield ahead 60-59 with 4:23 to go and ignited a late run. Zach Lamb made two free throws, then hit a jumper, and Grayson made a layup with 1:17 remaining to make the score 68-59, a cushion the Roadrunners protected at the free-throw line.
