Back In Business: Prop House Scheduled To Reopen
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — With big incentives in place to continue to keep TV and film productions in California, one of the largest local prop houses is back in business.
Six years after closing due to lack of business prospects, 20th Century Props is scheduled to reopen its doors at a new location according to reports.
The re-opening comes as production of film and TV shows in southern California is rising.
20th Century Props will reopen next Thursday, August 27th, at their new Van Nuys location.
While the previous facility housed around 90,000 different props, the new complex will be much smaller and house less items.
According to the Los Angeles Times, the new property will be around 18,000 square feet and will hold close to 3,000 different props.
Expanded tax credits have reportedly drawn multiple out-of-state TV programs to the Los Angeles area.
