AZ Republic: Former UCLA Coach Dorrell Interested In ASU Job
(CBS) -- Paola Boivin of the Arizona Republic said over twitter that former UCLA football coach Karl Dorrell is 'very interested' in the vacant head coaching job at Arizona State.
Dorrell, an assistant with the Miami Dolphins told Boivin, "I'm watching this opportunity from a distance" and "it's the premiere program in the state of Arizona."
Boivin said the Sun Devils have not reached out to Dorrell, and she only made contact with Dorrell upon hearing his interest in ASU.
Arizona State is believed to be looking at Tennessee Volunteers DC Justin Wilcox, Eastern Michigan head coach Ron English, former South Florida coach Jim Leavitt and Air Force coach Troy Calhoun after firing Dennis Erickson.
