Autopsy Pending On Suspected Carjacker Fatally Shot By Deputies
INDUSTRY (CBS) — An autopsy was pending Sunday on a suspected carjacker who was fatally shot by deputies directly in front of the Industry sheriff's station.
The incident began about four miles away at a used car lot in the 15000 block of Stafford Street, according to sheriff's deputies. It all started at 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
Carlos Corcuera was working on the lot when he says a man came up to him and asked to see a Dodge Charger. Then the man pulled out a gun.
He said the man was relentless until Corcuera handed over the keys.
The suspect led deputies on a brief chase, KNX 1070's Vytas Safroncikas reported.
