Auto Shop Owner Found Shot To Death In El Monte
EL MONTE (CBS) — Sheriff's detectives are investigating the murder of a auto repair shop owner in El Monte.
Family members found Hector Urias, 47, in the office of his business, Hector Urias Auto Repair, early Wednesday morning.
Urias' family had gone to the shop to look for him when he failed to return home.
Tearful family and friends at the scene said Urias was well-loved.
Sheriff's Lt. Don Slawson said detectives are investigating the shooting as a murder, but there was no clear motive yet.
"As far as we know, there's been nothing removed from it (the business) at this point," he said. "We're in the preliminary stages. As far as signs of struggle, that's the forensic information that we're working on right now."
