Authorities Seek Help To ID '2 Guys & A Girl' Bank Robbery Suspects

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Authorities sought the public's help Thursday in providing information that could identify a group of bank robbery suspects known as the "Two Guys & A Girl Bandits".

Three armed suspects have been linked to two bank robberies in December, according to FBI spokesperson Laura Eimiller. The group's moniker is based on witness accounts during one of the robberies that suggest two of the suspects were men and one was a woman, Eimiller said.

The first robbery took place Dec. 12 at a Wells Fargo branch at 28350 S. Western Ave. in Rancho Palos Verdes, where three armed suspects entered the bank and ordered everyone down to the ground before demanding cash and fleeing in a stolen white sedan, according to investigators.

The second robbery was reported at a CalCom FCU located at 20723 Hawthorne Blvd. in Torrance involving three armed suspects, one of whom was described by a witness as a female, Eimiller said. The suspects ordered everyone to the ground while demanding cash. One round was fired into the ceiling by one of the suspects.

The suspects fled that scene in a stolen blue sedan, investigators said. Vehicles believed to have been used in both robberies were later recovered by police, said Eimiller.

During the robberies, witnesses told authorities the suspects were heard counting numerals in reverse order, or "counting down," while they also ordered everyone in the bank to the ground, Eimiller said.

The suspects were described as wearing casual clothing and nylon stockings over their faces. One suspect was seen wearing a ball cap with an Oakland Raiders logo on it during the Rancho Palos Verdes robbery, and another suspect wore a ball cap with a Chicago Bulls logo on it during the Torrance robbery, according to Eimiller.
