Authorities On Lookout For 'Chubby Cheeks' Bank Robber
SANTA ANA (CBSLA.com) — Surveillance photos of a female bank robbery suspect, who held up a Chase bank in Santa Ana and has been dubbed the Chubby Cheeks Bandit, were released on Monday.
According to Laura Eimiller of the FBI, the bank, located at 1300 N. Main St., was robbed at around 4:30 p.m. on June 17.
The suspect approached the teller and allegedly began to demand cash, shouting, "Give me your money! I need money!"
The suspect is being described as a white woman in her late 20s, standing at about 5-foot-3 and weighing around 170 pounds.
Witnesses are also telling investigators that the suspect has "chubby cheeks," according to the FBI, which reported her as wearing a checkered shirt, jeans, hat and sunglasses at the time of the hold up.
