Authorities Investigate Death Of South Gate Infant
SOUTH GATE (CBS) — An infant who was hospitalized died Saturday evening in South Gate.
Sheriff's deputies set out to investigate the circumstances surrounding the little girl's death.
A call that a child needed assistance was reported at 5:40 p.m. in the 5100 block of McCallum Avenue, said Deputy Bill Brauberger of the Sheriff's Headquarters Bureau.
The girl was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead, Brauberger said.
No further details were immediately available.
