Authorities Continue Search For Missing Riverside County Man
MURRIETA (CBSLA.com) — Authorities continue to search for a 76-year-old man who was reported missing early Thursday morning in Murrieta.
The Riverside County Sheriff's Department said deputies were sent around 2:42 a.m. to the 40000 block of Winchester Road for a report of a missing person at a restaurant near Murrieta Hot Springs Road.
The California Highway Patrol issued a Silver Alert following the report of Robert Cricks' disappearance. A newer photo of Cricks was made available on Saturday.
A preliminary investigation revealed that Cricks waited in a running vehicle while his wife entered the restaurant, and then drove away on Winchester Road towards Temecula.
Officials added he suffers from severe dementia, and did not have a cell phone or money in his possession at the time of his disappearance.
Detectives described Cricks as a white man with gray hair and blue eyes, that stands 5-foot-11 tall, and weighs 165 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black ball cap with military pins, a blue jacket, a long sleeve blue shirt and blue jeans.
The vehicle was described as a silver 2007 Infinity G35 sedan, with a California disabled license plate that reads: 2304YDP.
