AT&T To Launch New Data Plans For Tablets, Smartphones
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Millions of AT&T customers across the Southland may soon be paying more to use their smartphones and tablets.
The company's new plans allow for more data downloads per month, but they come with a $5 price hike.
Customers will now be able to get 300 megabytes for $20, three gigabytes for $30, or five gigabytes for $50.
Those who already subscribe to one of these plans, or have the $30 unlimited data plan, will not be affected.
The new changes go into effect Sunday, Jan. 22.
