'Crying Jordan' Jumps From Internet Meme To Real-Life Footwear

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — One of the Internet's favorite memes has jumped from cyberspace into real-life fashion.

Artists Sherman Winfield and Andrew Weiss created a pair of "crying" Air Jordans by stitching the NBA legend's tear-streaked onto the tongue of a pair of Air Jordan 8s.

Of course, the image of the shoes has in turn taken the Internet by storm.

The "Crying Jordan" meme got its start when the NBA legend shed tears during his induction ceremony into the NBA Hall Of Fame in 2009.

Since then, it's been superimposed on all manner of Internet memes -- no doubt rankling the usually stoic NBA legend.
