SAN BERNARDINO (CBSLA.com) — Authorities Sunday said an arrest has been made in the murder of a 76-year-old San Bernardino resident who was found dead inside her ransacked home last November.
The body of Mary Elizabeth Blaskey was found inside her home in the 3000 block of Fremontia Drive on Nov. 14. Her body was discovered by her son, who alerted authorities.
The victim's 2001 Lexus had also been taken but was recovered about two weeks later, police said.
Police have not revealed the identity of the suspect but did describe the person in a statement as a 57-year-old resident of San Bernardino.
The suspect was arrested about 4:30 p.m. on April 5, in the 300 block of W. 48th Street.
Officials have planned a Monday morning news conference to release further details.
The incident remains under investigation and authorities say they are looking for more suspects.
