Around The NFL: The AFC Is A Mixture Of Injuries And Rock Stars

Injuries are a major part of the current NFL season, and right now, the two top teams in the AFC are dealing with a lot of them. If things don't get better soon, a lot of changes could happen in the AFC over the course of the final five weeks of the season. Some other changes could happen in the offseason, and oddly enough, they involve Bon Jovi.
Jon Bon Jovi interested in NFL ownership, but not the Buffalo Bills
Reports have surfaced that rocker Jon Bon Jovi was interested in pursuing ownership of the Buffalo Bills. While rumors are true that Bon Jovi wants to become an NFL owner someday, it won't be with the BIlls.
"The Bills are not for sale, and he has too much respect for Mr. Wilson to engage in any discussions of buying the team," Ken Sunshine, Bon Jovi's publicist, said, referring to Ralph Wilson, the team's Hall of Fame owner.
Bon Jovi has not had any discussions with the Bills or Erie County about purchasing the team after Wilson retires. Wilson turned 95 in October and confirmed that he doesn't want to sell the team during his lifetime. Bon Jovi will look to be an NFL owner someday, but right now, Sunshine says the rocker has "a day job that's doing very well."
Chiefs get good news and bad news about the injuries to their defensive line
On Sunday, the Kansas City Chiefs unexpectedly lost to the San Diego Chargers, but two injuries along their defensive front were much bigger losses. Outside linebackers Tamba Hali and Justin Houston both left the game with injuries and were replaced by Frank Zombo and Dezman Moses.
Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said that MRI results for Hali's ankle showed only a "slight sprain." It did not end up being a high ankle sprain which was feared and would have been much worse.
Houston had a subluxation of his right elbow and he was scheduled for an MRI, but there was too much swelling to get it done. As of now, Houston told reporters he couldn't say anything about the injury, but there was little known anyway.
Two Denver Broncos listed as day-to-day after tough overtime loss
The overtime loss to the New England Patriots was a tough one to take and even more so considering how it ended. Knowing that two key players ended up injured is even worse.
Denver Broncos running back Knowshon Moreno is listed as day-to-day with what interim coach Jack Del Rio is saying is a "bruised ankle" and "not significant." The pain was evident in Moreno as Sunday night's game wore on, but he is expected to be on the practice field this week.
Cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie is also expected to practice later in the week after suffering a shoulder injury on a Hail Mary attempt by the Patriots on Sunday. Del Rio says the cornerback just "banged his shoulder a bit."
