Around The NFL: London Scheduled, Seahawks Make Moves, RG3 Defends Dad

With more games than ever being played in London in 2014, the world is going to have to adjust to the NFL and the way it works as a sport and as a business. That includes getting used to storylines that may not always be normal and could be quite confusing at times.
NFL announces dates for 2014 London games
Three big regular-season games will be played in London next season, and the NFL has now set the dates that fans can look forward to them happening.
The first game will be played in week four on Sept. 28, 2014 as the Oakland Raiders face off against the Miami Dolphins. In week eight on Oct. 26, the Atlanta Falcons will take on the Detroit Lions. Finally, in week 10 on Nov. 9, the Dallas Cowboys will play the Jacksonville Jaguars.
All three games will be played in Wembley Stadium with the Falcons, Raiders, and Jagaurs representing the home teams.
Seattle cuts Perrish Cox after one day with team
With all of the secondary issues the Seattle Seahawks are having, it was no surprise when cornerback Perrish Cox was brought in and signed by the team. The surprising thing came a day later when the Seahawks abruptly released Cox, who was to take Walter Thurmond's place in the lineup.
Thrumond has been suspended for violating the league's substance abuse policy and is gone for four games. Cornerback DeShawn Shead took Cox's roster spot after being promoted from the practice squad.
Byron Maxwell is set to start for Thurmond against the New Orleans Saints on Monday night, but he had been starting for Brandon Browner. An appeal has been filed by Browner for his possible one-year suspension for violating the league's substance. abuse policy.
RG3 defends his dad being in Redskins locker room
The drama of the season for Washington Redskins' quarterback Robert Griffin III continues as he now has defended his father being in the team locker room after their recent loss to the San Francisco 49ers. Following the 27-6 loss, RG3's father sat at his son's locker and they talked for a while.
Griffin III said that his dad was in there checking up on him because he thought that his son had gotten hurt during the game. RG3 says that he didn't know that his dad was there and that he "meant no harm" by being in the locker room.
There have been reports swirling that people are not happy with the appearance of Robert Griffin II in the locker room, but the Redskins' quarterback isn't worried about any of the negativity at all.
