Police Continue Searching For Missing Woman After Nabbing Boyfriend In Wild Chase
SAN ONOFRE (CBS) — Police have arrested a man following a chase and standoff that forced authorities to shut down both sides of the 5 Freeway, in San Onofre.
The incident began early Thursday when police were asked to check up on the suspect's girlfriend, 31-year-old Arlet Hernandez, at the apartment the couple shared. An apartment manager had told police he suspected something was awry.

Officers didn't find her at home and tracked down Hernandez's boyfriend, Shazer Limas, at work, near John Wayne Airport in Santa Ana. When police attempted to question him he fled from police.
Authorities pursued the 31-year-old suspect as he headed south on the 405 Freeway and were able to stop his vehicle with a spike strip when he reached the 5 Freeway, south of San Clemente near a weigh station.
Limas then waged an hour-long standoff with officers when he refused to exit the vehicle.
Police placed Limas under arrest at approximately 7:45 p.m.
CBS2 had originally reported that the suspect was wanted for murder and armed, based on a report received from the City of Orange Police Department. Police have since specified that the suspect was not armed and he was placed under arrest for evading officers.
Both sides of the 5 Freeway were closed because of the standoff, backing up traffic for miles. The freeway has since reopened.
Police report that the Hernandez is still missing, along with her 2-year-old and 3-month-old sons, and officers were actively searching for them Thursday. Authorities were also questioning Limas about their disappearance.
