Armed Robber Sought In Anaheim Bank Heist
ANAHEIM (CBS) — Authorities are searching for an armed suspect who robbed an Orange County bank Tuesday morning.
A Bank of the West branch, located in the 600 block of Brookhurst Street in Anaheim, was robbed around 9:20 a.m., according to Anaheim police.
The suspect forced all employees and customers into the bank's safe before fleeing with an unknown amount of money, police said.
No one was injured in the robbery.
Police have not released a description of the suspect, but say he is either white or Hispanic.
This is the third bank robbery in the last week.
On Feb. 29, a police officer was shot in the leg during a botched robbery in Chino.
On March 1, a gunman held a bank manager hostage for four hours before he was shot and injured following an attempted heist in Buena Park.
