Argument Between 2 Brothers Leads To Fatal Stabbing
LONG BEACH (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say a fight between two brothers in Long Beach led to a deadly stabbing.
Officials said the brother accused of murdering his sibling has been arrested.
Police were dispatched to the area of Elm Avenue and Louise Street about 12:15 a.m. Saturday.
Authorities said they found Geovany Ortiz, 20, of Long Beach with a stab wound. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The stabbing victim's brother, Israel Ortiz, 22, was located near the crime scene and taken into custody, said police. He was booked on suspicion of murder.
Ortiz's bail was set at $1,000,000, according to LA County Sheriff's inmate records.
