Are You $75 Million Richer?
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Did you win $75 million Friday night?
The numbers drawn in Friday's multi-state Mega Millions are 24, 30, 48, 51, 56. The Mega number is 45.
(Update: Friday, 11:55 p.m. No ticket matched all six numbers in California.)
The jackpot for the next drawing, scheduled for Tuesday, will rise to $87 million, according to a California Lottery official.
The drawing was the ninth since the last time a ticket with all six numbers was sold.
The odds of matching all five numbers and the Mega number is 1 in 175,711,536, according to the Mega Millions website. Overall chances of winning a prize are 1 in 40.
The Mega Millions game is played in 41 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
One ticket in California did have 5 matching numbers without the Mega number. That ticket is worth $262,743. The lottery also announced that nine tickets in California had four numbers with the Mega number. Those tickets are worth $7,961 each.
