Mega Millions Jackpot Will Swell To $241 Million Tuesday
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Do you have 200 million reasons to call in sick Monday?
The numbers in tonight's multi-state Mega Millions draw are 28, 29, 43, 51, 53 and the Mega number is 7.
Late Friday, the California Lottery announced no one picked all six numbers so the jackpot will climb Tuesday to an estimated $241 million. Three tickets in California matched 5/5 (no Mega) and each ticket holder will get $326,163.
Those 5/5 tickets were sold at Ramco Petroleum (Santa Ysabel), Stop N Buy (Nipomo) and Los Feliz Oil (3073 Los Feliz Boulevard).
The Friday drawing was the 15th since the last time a ticket with all six numbers was sold.
The odds of matching all five numbers and the Mega number is 1 in 175,711,536, according to the Mega Millions website. The overall chance of winning a prize is 1 in 40.
The Mega Millions game is played in 41 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
