App Lets Fans Use VR Technology To Check Out Seats At Dodger Stadium
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Virtual reality (VR) technology may still be in its infancy for the mass market, but for Dodger fans, the future is now.
Ticket vendor StubHub has launched its 360-degree seat-mapping feature with VR capabilities that lets fans check out the view from a particular seat or section before they buy their ticket.
While the Virtual view experience is more enhanced for users with VR goggles - as seen in this video - fans without VR can use the new in-app feature simply by moving around their iOS/Android phone.
The feature is currently available for MLB games at Dodger Stadium and AT&T Park in San Francisco and is expected to debut soon at Houston Texans games at NRG Stadium.
