Anna Nicole Jury Back For Day 7 Of Deliberations
LOS ANGELES (CBS/AP) — Jurors are scheduled to deliberate for a seventh day Wednesday in the trial of Anna Nicole Smith's longtime companion and two doctors, who are accused of conspiring to funnel prescription drugs to the onetime Playboy Playmate.
The panel wrapped up talks Tuesday as it worked to reach 21 separate decisions for the three defendants. Besides finding the defendants guilty or not guilty, the panelists must answer a long list of questions if they find guilt on any of the conspiracy counts.
Jurors are being asked to decide whether Smith's boyfriend-lawyer Howard K. Stern, Dr. Sandeep Kapoor and Dr. Khristine Eroshevich excessively provided opiates and sedatives to the former Playboy model and reality TV star.
The three are not charged in Smith's 2007 overdose death.
