Angels' Morales Should Be Ready For Opening Day

TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) -- Angels manager Mike Scioscia says first baseman Kendry Morales should be ready to play by opening day.

Morales' 2010 season came to an end in May when he broke his leg while jumping on home plate to celebrate a game-ending grand slam.

Whether Morales can play the field this spring could alter multiple defensive positions.

Morales is expected to see early spring action as a designated hitter.
