Angels, Mathis Come To Terms On $1.7m Deal
(CBS) -- The Los Angeles Angels reached agreement on a one-year, $1.7 million contract with catcher Jeff Mathis avoiding arbitration, this according to Mark Saxon who covers the Angels for ESPN.
Despite a decline in performance, Mathis hit just .195 with three home runs and 18 RBIs in 68 games, mathis gets a $400,000 raise.
The Angels have six remaining arbitration-eligible players who have yet to sign, including Jared Weaver and Kendry Morales.
