LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The Los Angeles Angels have designated starting pitcher Tim Lincecum for assignment.

The Angels can either place him on waivers, trade him, release him, or send him to the minor leagues.
Whatever happens, it looks as if Lincecum's tenure with the Angels has come to an end.
The two-time Cy Young Award winner was miserable this season, going 2-6 with a 9.16 ERA in 38.1 innings pitched.
He struck out 32 batters, walked 23, and surrendered 11 home runs.
