Angels And Dodgers Rumored To Be After Podsednik

(CBSSPORTS.COM/Evan Brunell) -- Well, that's one way to replace Carl Crawford.

FOX Sports's Ken Rosenthal reveals that the Angels are talking to Scott Podsednik about joining the AL squad as opposed to returning to the Dodgers.

After losing out on Crawford, L.A. is looking for a left fielder that could lead off.

While Podsednik hit poorly as a Dodger after coming over July 28 (.262/.313/.336 in 160 plate appearances), he did crank to the tune of a .310/.353/.400 line in 435 PA for the Royals.

He also had a .353 OBP in 587 PA for the White Sox in 2009 and stole a combined 65 bases across the two seasons so would make sense as a leadoff man even as he enters his age-35 year.
