Angelina Jolie's Stunt Double Sues News Corp. Over Alleged Phone Hacking

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Angelina Jolie's stunt double is suing Rupert Murdoch's News Corp. for allegedly tapping into her voicemail and obtaining information about Jolie's relationship with Brad Pitt.

In court documents, Eunice Huthart said she was working in L.A. at the time on the movie "Mr. & Mrs. Smith."

The British citizen claims her voicemail was hacked for information about the celebrity couple and used in at least three stories that appeared in News Corp. publications. One of those articles, published in The Sun in April 2005, said Pitt was having an affair with Jolie when their relationship had not yet been made public. At the time, Pitt was still married to actress Jennifer Aniston.

The complaint was filed on June 13 in federal court and marks the first time action has been taken in the U.S. involving the British phone hacking scandal.

Huthart is seeking compensatory, statutory and punitive damages.
