Andre Ethier Replaces Phillies' Victorino On NL All-Star Roster
LOS ANGELES (CBS) — Dodgers outfielder Andre Ethier will replace injured Shane Victorino in next week's All-Star game.
Ethier, who came in second in voting to the Philadelphia Phillies center fielder, will join the national league's roster in the mid-summer classic in Phoenix. Victorino was recently placed on the Phillies' disabled list with a sprained thumb.
Andre Ethier Heading To Boston??
Ethier will join Dodgers Matt Kemp and Clayton Kershaw in the All-Star game to be played on July 12.
The right fielder is currently batting .313 on the season with seven home runs and 42 RBI.
It will be Ethier's second consecutive All-Star game, although he considers this one the most special, since he grew up in Phoenix and played at Arizona State University.
