Anaheim Police Hunt For Mugger Who Caused 80-Year-Old To Break Her Hip
ANAHEIM (CBS) — Anaheim police Friday released store surveillance video and photos of a man suspected of mugging an 80-year-old woman causing her to break her hip.
The victim underwent successful surgery this afternoon, Anaheim police Sgt. Bob Dunn said.
She was shopping at a 99-cent discount store in the 2200 block of East Lincoln Avenue Tuesday before she was mugged in the parking lot, Dunn said.
During the struggle over the woman's purse, she fell down and broke her hip, Dunn said.
The surveillance video of the suspect was taken in the market before he attacked the woman, Dunn said.
The suspect is a Latino man in his 20s who is about 5-foot-10 to 6 feet tall with a medium build. He was wearing a black baseball cap, light plaid shirt and blue jeans.
Anyone with information was asked to call Detective M. Lillemoen at (714) 765-1959.
