Anaheim Man Charged With Stabbing Mother To Death
SANTA ANA (CBSLA.com) — A man accused of stabbing his mother to death is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday.
Gabriel Ramirez, 21, of Anaheim, was charged with one felony count of murder with a sentencing enhancement for the personal use of a deadly weapon.
Police say Ramirez stabbed his 42-year-old mother, Margarita Esquivias, repeatedly in a bedroom in her Anaheim home. Ramirez then called 911, police said.
Esquivias was taken to a hospital, where she died of her injuries.
Ramirez, who is being held on $1 million bail, faces a maximum sentence of 26 years to life in state prison if convicted as charged.
