American Solider Network Hosts 2nd Annual Shoe Drive

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — Actor Scott Elrod and Annie Nelson stopped by KCAL9 Saturday to talk about the American Soldier Network second annual shoe drive.

The "show your soul by giving up your soles" campaign was created to collect new and gently used shoes that will be donated to impoverished villages and communities in developing countries.

All shoes must be paired left and right. Each donated pair will be cleaned and refurbished before being sent to communities.

The American Solider Network is a non-profit all volunteer organization, which assists veterans of all eras and active duty military personnel throughout the country.

The organization will receive $0.40 for each pound of shoes collected.
