Amber Alert Issued For 2 Children Possibly Abducted By Biological Mother

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — An Amber Alert was activated Thursday for two children believed to have been abducted by their biological mother.

Ameenah Rasheedah Freeman, 37, took Emanuel Freeman, 8, and Adoniah Freeman, 9, about 3 p.m. Monday from their grandmother's home in the 1700 block of West 35th Place, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

When they did not return, the children's grandmother reported them missing about 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Freeman was last seen Wednesday night when she returned to her mother's Exposition Park home, but without the children.

The children were last seen with her in the Northridge area around 4:15 p.m. Monday in a maroon 2011 Ford Edge with paper plates that have "Airport Marina" written on them.

Emanuel Freeman was described as a black with black hair and brown eyes, 4 foot-8 and 94 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt with a Mario Brothers picture on it, black shorts with white stripes and black sandals.

Adoniah Freeman was  described as a black with black hair and brown eyes, 4-foot-1o and 97 pounds. She was last seen wearing a pink dress with white flowers.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the children or their mother was asked to contact LAPD Southwest detective D. Johnson at (213) 485-6571.
