Alleged 'Make It Quick Bandit' Suspected In Gardena Bank Robbery

GARDENA (CBSLA.com) — Authorities Friday said a man suspected in at least nine robberies in the South Bay has struck again.

The FBI said in a statement that the so-called "Make It Quick Bandit" is accused in a tenth robbery. It occurred at a U.S. Bank branch inside a Vons supermarket in Gardena.

Described as a Hispanic male with dark hair that is possibly thinning on top, the suspect got his moniker because of the instructions he allegedly gives tellers, the statement said.

The FBI said the heists began in Jan. 2009 and occurred in the areas of San Pedro, Inglewood, Carson, Gardena, and Torrance.

A $10,000 reward is being offered by U.S. Bank for information leading to his arrest and conviction.

The unidentified suspect with a goatee stands at 5'10" to 6'01" and weighs between 200 to 230 pounds. He is believed to be between 25 to 35 years of age.

Anyone with information as to his whereabouts is asked to contact the nearest FBI office or dial 911.
