Alhambra Home 'Severely Vandalized' In Suspected Hate Crime
ALHAMBRA (CBSLA.com) — The Alhambra Police Department is investigating a hate crime after a home was severely vandalized Monday.
Police responded to a report of a residential burglary in the 2000 block of Midwickhill Dr. around 3 p.m. when the home's resident returned to find extensive damage to the property.
Officers responding to the scene found racial epithets spray painted throughout the home and multiple pieces of property damaged, police said.
Food was reportedly spread throughout the house and the suspect or suspects had poured bleach inside the residence.
Detectives with the Alhambra Police Department and crime scene investigators with the Los Angeles County Crime Lab were processing the scene and speaking to neighbors Monday night.
No suspect information was immediately available.
