Aldi To Open 10 Grocery Stores In LA, OC

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — German discount supermarket chain Aldi will open 10 stores Thursday in Southern California.

The addition of the stores, which are mostly located in Los Angeles and Orange counties, will increase the number of Aldi supermarkets in Southern California to 18.

Ribbon-cutting ceremonies will be held at 8:45 a.m. at the following locations:

— 275 S. Euclid Street, Anaheim

— 1403 S. Baldwin Avenue, Arcadia

— 8351 La Palma Avenue, Buena Park

— 11530 South Street, Cerritos

— 1400 N. Azusa Avenue, Covina

— 17070 Magnolia Street, Fountain Valley

— 3330 W. Century Boulevard, Inglewood

— 2268 Foothill Boulevard, La Verne

— 740 W. Rancho Vista Boulevard, Palmdale

— 4020 Highland Avenue, San Bernardino

In late March, Aldi opened their first eight locations in Riverside and San Bernardino counties.

The supermarket chain plans to open about 45 additional stores in Southern California by the end of the year, employing more than 1,100 people.

Aldi operates nearly 1,500 stores in 32 states and nearly 10,000 others around the world.
