Alanis Morissette, James Corden Rewrite 'Ironic' For 2015
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — "Late, Late Show" host James Corden Monday night welcomed Alanis Morissette to perform some updated lyrics to her 1995 hit "Ironic."
The new version makes mention of everyday coincidences or episodes of bad luck - because we all know the song's lyrics never literally spelled out irony - plausible for the year 2015. Like getting a "getting a free ride when your Uber's waiting down the street." Or having Apple "announce a new iPhone the day after you buy it."
The clip has been viewed more than 19,000 times on YouTube.
