'Airplane!' Filmmakers, Cast Members Reunite For Tourism Ads
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Surely this is one reunion you won't want to miss.
The filmmakers and cast members of the comedy classic "Airplane!" will reunite Thursday for the first time in over 30 years for a commercial shoot in Pacoima.
Hollywood directors David and Jerry Zucker along with Jim Abrahams will be back in the cockpit with actors Robert Hayes and Lakers legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to shoot three new Wisconsin Department of Tourism ads at Air Hollywood.
The Zucker brothers and Abrahams - all Wisconsin natives - will direct the ads, which spoof the 1980 hit, according to tourism officials.
The Zuckers have previously helmed three other ads for the Wisconsin Department of Tourism, including one ad which also starred Hayes.
