Actor Sought For Questioning After Alleged Domestic Abuse
PALM SPRINGS (CBS) — Actor Jeremy London, who made news last year when he was reportedly kidnapped, was sought for questioning Friday by Palm Springs police in connection with alleged domestic abuse.
Police say a woman called police around 10:25 a.m. saying that London "inflicted an injury on her as they argued about him taking their son from her home."
"The victim refused to have emergency medical services respond to treat her minor, visible injury," said Sergeant Marc Melanson of the Palm Springs PD.
London left immediately following the incident, according to the victim, whose identity was not released.
According to Internet Movie Database, London has a child with Melissa Cunningham, whom he married in 2006 and is separated from.
Melanson said police are seeking to question London about his involvement and possibly arrest him for alleged domestic abuse.
Those with information on London's whereabouts are asked to call Palm Springs police at (760) 323-1441.
London is best known for his roles in TV dramas "Party of Five" and "7th Heaven."
In June of 2010, London claimed he was kidnapped and robbed in Palm Springs, and forced to buy drugs and alcohol at gunpoint. He said he managed to escape from his abductors.
In March, one of the men allegedly involved in the kidnapping pleaded guilty to lesser charges of felony false imprisonment and a misdemeanor count of unlawful taking of a vehicle.
The man was sentenced to 16 months in prison, but with time already served and other credits, he was released from a Banning jail the day he entered the plea, according to court records.
