Actor Lane Garrison Pleads No Contest To Battery Against Former Girlfriend
BEVERLY HILLS (CBSLA.com) — Actor Lane Garrison is expected to undergo a year's worth of domestic violence counseling following his no contest plea to one count of misdemeanor battery.
A statement issued by the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office says the 32-year-old will also attend Alcoholics Anonymous meetings and perform community service as part of a three-year probation sentence.
Garrison was arrested in April 2012 following an allegation of battery against his former girlfriend.
A judge on Friday also ordered Garrison to stay-away from his ex.
At the time of the incident, Garrison was on parole following a 2007 vehicular manslaughter conviction.
Deputy District Attorney Joy Sumabat-Graff said in the department statement that Garrison must also pay $400 to a domestic violence fund.
