LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) —  Actor Drake Bell pleaded not guilty Wednesday to a DUI charge filed after he was arrested in Glendale late last year.

Jared Drake Bell, who turned 30 this past Monday, faces one misdemeanor count of driving under the influence of alcohol within 10 years of another DUI offense, said the LA District Attorney's office.

Bell entered his plea through his attorney at today's arraignment. A pretrial hearing is scheduled for Aug. 5 in the Superior Court's Glendale Branch.

On Dec. 21, 2015, Bell was allegedly spotted driving erratically on San Fernando Road, the DA's office said.

If convicted as charged, Bell faces a possible maximum sentence of 365 days in county jail.

Bell -- who has been steadily working in Hollywood since he turned 8. is known as the title character in the TV series "The Ultimate Spider-Man" as well as "Superhero Movie," "Drake & Josh" and "The Amanda Show."

The DA says Bell remains out on his own recognizance after submitting proof that he has been attending Alcoholics Anonymous classes.
