Abby Wambach To US Soccer, "Fire Jurgen Klinsmann!"

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — US Soccer's Abby Wambach had some harsh words for US Men's National Team Head Coach Jurgen Klinsmann.

An an interview with Bill Simmons, Wambach directly called for Klinsmann's removal as head coach of the US Men's National Team.

"I would definitely fire Jurgen," Wambach said. " Sorry U.S. soccer, but I don't think Jurgen and this litmus test on him has worked," she added.

Wambach went on, saying, "He hasn't really focused, I feel like, enough attention on the youth program. Although he says he has, I don't think that he has. And I also believe that the way that he has changed and brought in a bunch of these foreign guys, it's just not something I believe in wholeheartedly. I don't believe in it."

The "foreign" players Wambach is referring to are players like Jermaine Jones and Fabian Johnson, who were both German-born, yet still play for the US.

"It's gotta be interesting for those guys to see their coach take off in a helicopter and fly home to his home and then back to training," Wambach added.

Wambach will retire from professional soccer after Wednesday's friendly with China.

Coming from one of the biggest legends in US Soccer history, this does not bode well for Klinsmann.
